ART UPDATE
Keep Chests
Small Wooden Chest: Your starter stash box, light, limited (1.5x1), and easy to break
Large Wooden Chest: Bigger inventory (3x1.5x1), moderate HP, and renameable in your inventory
Metal Chest: Coming soon. Heavier, tougher, and built to withstand more than just a wooden axe
All chests drop their contents as a bag when destroyed
Wooden variants are vulnerable to axes and explosives
Chest can be locked for added protection, though not impenetrable
Note: Wooden chests do not support Nova storage.
Build Mode – Keep Bamboo (TWIG)
Twig (Bamboo) Construction
Twigs lets you plan your dream base without spending real materials
Place a piece when it’s blue using Left-click (LMB)
Each TWIG has just 1 HP: cheap to build, easier to break
Costs only a sliver of wood, perfect for prototyping
No demolish tool here: smash it with your melee weapon when you're done
The Forsaken Order
We did a breakdown of their origin in previous updates
Visuals: Hooded figures, cracked masks, fused Nova shard armor
Priest of the Forsaken Order
Found in Tier 3 Landmarks, occasionally in Tier 2
Fanatical ex-guardians of the Seal, now twisted ritualists serving the Void
Warriors of the Forsaken Order
The brute force of the Forsaken Order, heavily armored and aggressive
Gadget – Barricade
Craftable defense wall (4m x 4m). Deployed in preparation or mid-combat.
Ghost preview shows placement, with big wall animation
Moderate HP; cracks appear with damage. Eventually shatters
Enemies won’t shoot through it, they’ll path around
Not permanent, lasts 24 in-game hours, then vanishes
Doors
Double Door
Fits into a 4x4 frame
Swings inward or outward,
Made from wood, junkyard metal or clean metal
Single Door
Fits standard frames
Four snap choices: Left/Right, In/Out
Built with wood, junkyard metal or clean metal
Killtown - Landmark T2
One of ten Tier 2 Landmarks
Ashbane Hollow village is tucked here, based on the Killtown map
Loot options include breakables, common crates, and rarer finds
Potions – 3D Model WIP
Red potions primarily restore health; additional variants are in development based on gameplay conditions.
Shield potion restores your shield bar
These are the cases where healing potions won’t work:
Starvation and freezing cause ongoing Damage over Time (DoT); you’ll keep losing health regardless of potions
Poison disables all healing methods: potions, food, and comfort
Bleeding stops all forms of healing until it passes; you’re stuck with your wounds
World Props and Flora (3D Models)
Stone Node – Yes, it’s a resource
Stone Pickables – Also resources
Tall Grass – Just for looks (not harvestable)
Silk Plant – Resource
Saffron Plant – Resource
Emberpit Final Concept Art
Used to cook advanced meals that give health, hunger, thirst, and buffs
The cauldron is magical and doesn’t need wood to run
Only placeable on a floor or foundation
Recipes often discovered via scrolls
Cooked items are stored in the Emberpit until dragged into inventory
Rift Pouch - Concept Art WIP
Sticky Explosive, with manual trigger
High damage to Wood / Stone
Gadget Golem - Concept Art WIP
Deployed from your hotbar or via Nova Sphere prop mode
Can only be placed in valid terrain (not POIs, water, enemy zones)
Pre-loaded with 10 rocks, included in crafting cost
Automatically starts firing once placed
Damage varies depending on target material
Has HP and can be destroyed; auto-destructs 10 seconds after final shot
Alchemy Table - Concept Art WIP
Unlocks recipes for Potions and Explosives
Default crafting station (1x3x3 in size)
Can’t be interacted with directly; unlocks show in crafting menu
Cannot be locked, and must be destroyed to remove
Gadget Turret - Design Metrics - Concept Art WIP
Fixed turret with tripwire-like detection
Fires when the enemy breaks the laser line, unless something blocks its view
Floor placed (1x1x2), shows arrow ghost for placement direction
Accepts only Unstable and Refined ammo
Continues firing until it runs out
Has range, damage cone, HP, and stacking rules
A handy friend with a hair-trigger
